A boy coming of age – Myles’ Bar Mitzvah
I am always so moved by the tradition of Bar & Bat Mitzvahs in the Jewish religion. Having grown up Catholic – this was a completely new discovery for me. To honor a child and welcome them into the community through prayer, celebration and recognition, is one of the most amazing gifts any family can give to their child. Katie’s sharing and toast to her son Myles, moved me to tears. Her love was such a beautiful testimony of that special bond a mother has with her son.
I love fathers who love their sons and teach them about tenderness.
All the siblings, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins come to honor this member of the family – so beautiful!
And then came the party … at Quidnessett Country Club.
The theme was Manhatten
An alive sculpture – so cool!
