About Bénédicte
Bénédicte Verley has an authentic and evocative approach to photography, refining the discipline into an art form. She has a gift of effortlessly capturing the genuine love and sincere emotion of each wedding celebration, as well as bringing out the most beautiful side of each client sitting before her.
Born to french parents and into a family of artists and designers, she received a BFA in painting and printmaking from Syracuse University. She received her first real camera at age 10 and always had a natural talent and love for the medium. She decided to pursue a degree in photography by enrolling in a two year masters program. After graduating, Bénédicte moved to Amsterdam, Holland and Paris, France, working as a fashion photographer. Upon her return to the U.S. she founded her own studio in Providence, Rhode Island, where she continues to be the creative director, principal photographer and book binder.
Bénédicte Verley is first and foremost an artist. Aside from her professional photography, she is involved in collaborations with other artists in theatre, mixed media installations and movement, all of which serve as a source to rejuvenate her creative vision.
The Team
The second pillar of Bénédicte Verley Photography is her husband Anurag Spatzenegger. He is the Studio Manager and Technical Director who handles all things electronic.
There is a crew of multiple photographers at each event who have been with the studio for many years. Each, a talented photographer in his/her own right, specializes in a certain aspect of the event. There are typically three to five photographers covering from different angles: one capturing guests, a second shooting the formals, a third capturing the details, and a fourth for candids.
Working with Bénédicte Verley Photography you can rely on 20 years of professional expertise in event, portrait and editorial photography. The team aims to make the entire experience, from the first meeting to the final production of the hand bound albums, a flawless and inspiring one.
